Shandana Waheed
Shandana Waheed is an anthropologist-cum-archaeologist who is currently enrolled in a PhD program at Stanford University, California. She will be teaching a course at Hunter College, City University of New York (CUNY) in Fall 2024. She was a Falak Sufi Scholar at Hagop Kevorkian Center of New York University. She completed her Bachelor’s from Forman Christian College, Lahore in History and Political Science. She has extensive teaching and mentoring experience including Stanford University, New York University, Beaconhouse National University, Punjab University and University of Management and Technology, Lahore. Her research interests include Politics of Heritage, Archaeology of Partition, Museumization of Culture, Urbanism, Practices of Space, Place Making, and Memory and Nostalgia. She has helped many students secure admissions and scholarships in Master’s and PhD programs including R1 and IVY League institutions in USA.
